Role Status: New position.

Responsibilities
The Supplier Personnel must support Defence outcomes in the following ways, including but not limited
to:

  • Develop and present, information briefs at governance meetings addressing all key details including but not limited to, current risks, roadblocks and completion dates
  • Provide governance services in support of the ICT TAF
  • Develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Negotiate and mediate within a multi-vendor IT sourcing model to manage the delivery of win/win outcomes for Defence
  • Develop and review current state data centre facilities management landscape and relevant strategy documents and roadmaps
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and documents existing data centre management practices and frameworks (on premises and hyperscalers)
  • Identify and document any concerns or gaps in current data centre management practices
  • Participate and guide the delivery of data centre modernisation program and activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance ensuring adoption and adherence to data centre best practice, strategies, policies, standards and guidelines

Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated

  • Demonstrated experience 10+ years as an Architect in complex and large scale ICT data centre projects
  • Relevant degree and tertiary qualifications in an ICT related field
  • Relevant industry framework certification.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data centre management platforms, processes and tools, and experience with data centre design requirements for federal government (preferable)
  • Demonstrated experience in hybrid data centre strategies, patterns and implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver business and technical outcomes that meet business requirements and align with organisational strategies
  • Demonstrated strength in communication, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology

Desirable

  • Combined technical and communication skills to provide assurance, compliance and governance of the services
  • Communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships; and
